Who Were Members of Swaran Singh Committee (1976)?


Swaran Singh Committee has a distinguished place in the Constitutional development of India. No other committee or study team left such a deep impact on the Constitution. The 42nd Constitutional Amendment which is also known as ‘Mini Constitution’ was a product of this Committee. However, it is widely known for induction of Fundamental Duties in the Constitution.

Sardar Swaran Singh Committee was a 12 members committee headed by Swaran Singh.
