He appeared two times in the interview of UPSC CSE, but couldn’t clear it finally. His family started to blame his Bengali girlfriend for him not making the cut at the UPSC. That Bengali girlfriend is now his wife.

Wife: Nayana Das Gupta. She is currently the HoD of the Department of History at Lady Shriram College, Delhi. A Bhumihar getting married to a Bengali girl became a news in his village. In fact, his family members were boycotted because of this unorthodox marriage. Ravish Kumar had also severed all his relations with his family members during those days. He never took care of his old parents. However, over time, family ties started to grew and Ravish had helped his family many times with his strong link with Congress politicians.

He was, till recently, the Vice President of Bihar Congress Unit. Brajesh is now exonerated by the Supreme Court of India in the sex scandal case with the help of Ravish Kumar. It should be noted that Ravish again used his influence and had asked Kapil Sibbal to fight Brajesh’ case in the Supreme Court of India.
